Terms of Service

By purchasing a commission from me (the artist, aka MacaroniChewToyz) you (the client) are agreeing to the following terms of service. Please read through them thoroughly so there is no confusion or miscommunication. Feel free to contact the artist if there are any questions or concerns.Payment
1. The artist accepts partial payment, roughly 25% of the full commission value, once the commission request is accepted. The full payment is then due once the artist delivers the initial sketch and the client approves of said sketch.
2. The artist will not begin work on a commission until the partial payment is recieved, and the commission will not be completed until the full payment is recieved.
3. The client is advised to have the full payment ready when they submit a commission request - this payment system is not intended as a payment plan, rather it is intended to ensure both artist and client accountability.
4. Payment is accepted via PayPal invoice only, and prices are in USD. NOTE: The artist is based in Canada, but uses USD pricing for clarity and ease of use.Progress Updates & Changes
5. The artist will provide a sketch to the client once progress has begun and request the final payment. At this point, the client is free to request any additions or changes to the piece. At this point, these changes and adjustments are free to the client.
6. After the sketch has been approved and final payment has been processed, in most cases, the artist will not provide further updates until the work is completed. At this point, the client may request minor tweaks at no additional cost.
7. After the commission has been completed, any major changes [anything that requires the artist to completely redraw ~25% or more of the artwork] will incur additional charges, depending on the complexity of said change.
8. After the commission has been approved by the client, no further changes will be applied to the artwork.Refund Policy
9. Refunds may be requested before the artist begins work on the commission. The partial payment will be refunded to the client and no work will be done.
10. Once the initial sketch is delivered, the client can no longer request a refund of the partial payment. If the client does not want to continue with the commission, they may keep the sketch and forgo completing payment, but the initial partial payment cannot be refunded as the agreed upon work has already been completed.
11. Refunds will not be accepted once full payment is received and the commission has been completed. If there are issues with the work delivered, the client may discuss their concerns with the artist.Use
12. Completed commission work is intended for personal use only. For example, use as a profile picture, posted on social media, or printed for personal use.
13. In all cases, credit to the artist must be clear and easily accessible - preferably a direct link or a "mention" on applicable social media platforms.
14. Completed commission work is not intended for commercial use. This includes use in merchandise, advertising , NFTs, crypto, etc. It also may not be used in AI models, datasets, or any other generative AI technology.
15. The client may not make any edits to the completed artwork without permission from the artist. Changes to the artwork should be addressed before the commission is finalized.Delivery and ETAs
16. Commissions may take from 2 - 8 weeks.
16. Completed commission work will be delivered to the client via Discord, Toyhouse submission and/or email.
